I. Agreement to Terms

By accessing The Better Human (TBH) website or contributing to our missions, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform or contribute to our causes.

II. Trust in Formation (Important Notice)

The Better Human (TBH) is currently in the process of registration as a Public Charitable Trust in India.

  • Until our registration and Section 12A/80G certifications are finalized by the Income Tax Department, contributions are made to the initiative on a voluntary basis.

  • Donors will receive an internal receipt of acknowledgement, but tax-exemption certificates cannot be issued retrospectively for the period prior to official approval.

III. The “Direct Action” Commitment

  • Mission Accuracy: We promise that 100% of your allocated contribution goes directly to the field mission (Nests, Mangroves, Schools, etc.).

  • Founder’s Pledge: All administrative, marketing, and operational costs of TBH are personally borne by the founders and not deducted from public contributions.

  • Verification: While we provide geo-tagged data and live logs, environmental variables (weather, vandalism of nests, sapling survival rates) may affect the final outcome of a mission. We commit to transparency in reporting these variables.

IV. User Conduct & Participation

  • Intellectual Property: All content, including articles on “Eco-anxiety,” “Circular Economy,” and project documentation, is the property of The Better Human. You may share this for awareness, but commercial reproduction is strictly prohibited.

  • Accuracy: When you sign up as a donor or volunteer, you agree to provide accurate information (Name, PAN, Email) to ensure compliance with Indian statutory laws.

V. Refund Policy

Due to the nature of charitable missions, contributions are deployed to the field immediately (e.g., purchasing wood for nests or saplings for Sunderbans). Therefore, we do not offer refunds once a contribution is processed.

VI. Data & Privacy

Your interaction with this site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which complies with the DPDP Act 2026. We do not sell your data; we only process it for mission fulfillment and legal compliance.

VII. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Patna, Bihar.
