My Transition
I made the shift to a fully plant-based lifestyle in October 2025. It started as a choice and quickly became a baseline for compassionate living. For anyone in this group currently on the fence about veganism - what is your biggest hurdle right now? Letβs troubleshoot it.
"People thinking I will miss my cheese, my ice cream, rest I am ok ", then please go plant based wherever you can. In fact, here are the easy ways you can go vegan without even noticing:
1) Cosmetics - Search for Vegan products. You wouldn't want your mascara to have been tested needlessly on rabbits, monkeys, etc
2) Clothing - Imagine being boiled ALIVE. That's what happens with silk worms. Take your pick from Cotton, Linen, Khadi, Ahimsa silk.
3) Food - Vegan food doesn't only have to be difficult to pronounce fancy dishes served at expensive cafes. You only need to make a conscious choice - Pani Puri/Sev Puri over Dahi Puri, Sattu Sharbat over Lassi. Every meal counts.
4) Strengthen your Why : Cruelty is the norm, so people will ask you - " But what about protein?" as if the murgh mussalam swimming in grease was had only for protein requirement. It tastes great, but you know what feels better - a baby cow with his/ her mother.
5) Creators to follow : ArvindAnimalActivist, Voice of Vegans, Beetextravagant, Browngirlvegan, etc.
6) Easy way to spot a vegan product: Check if the packet has green mark ( Vegetarian), next check for allergen information - Milk or eggs . Simple
7) Please watch Maa ka Dudh documentary. Why? Because we can lie to anyone except to ourselves. Any rational and compassionate person CANNOT continue being a non vegan.
